Appendix A: Rights matrix
This overview shows which role can use which till function. It describes version 2026.10.12. How to assign roles and the storno right is explained in chapter 02.
Legend
- yes – the role finds the function in the menu or on the page and can use it.
- no – the role cannot use the function in the till (no menu entry, or the button is missing).
- storno right – only if Allow storno (fiscal return/void) is ticked for the user.
- limited – the role sees the page, but not all parts of it (see footnote).

¹ Cashiers and waiters see only the current business day (since the last Z closing).
² Waiters see the Reservations menu entry but cannot use reservations. Reservations and reserved guests are handled by a cashier, manager or admin; the waiter starts at the table with New Order. The Seat now button is visible for waiters but cannot be used.

⁴ On Cash Movements the cashier sees only the cash balance, open tips and the Pay out tips tile – no other movements and no history. ⁵ Without cash balance and without cash movements; the Show tips button is available. ⁶ Without the opening and closing cash columns.
Caution: The Z closing closes the business day fiscally and cannot be undone. The cashier can also trigger it in the X report with Close. Decide in your business who does the daily closing.

Device roles
These roles are meant for screens. After login the till jumps straight to the matching view; there is no menu or header bar there.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Which role should my shift lead get? Usually Manager: all reports, closing and setup, but no user management.
Q: May a cashier do the daily closing? Yes, via X report › Close. They do not see the Z daily and monthly reports.
Q: Why doesn't the cashier see the cash balance in the X report? That is intended. Admin and Manager see the cash balance.
Q: May a waiter book cash movements? No. Waiters have no cash or report menus.
Q: Who may pay out tips? Admin, Manager and Cashier, on Cash Movements.
Q: Can I grant the storno right to a whole role? No, only per user (chapter 02). Admins may always storno.
Q: Who may start the TSE export? Only the Admin.
Q: A manager needs an account for a new colleague. What now? The Admin creates it. Managers cannot create users.
